OUR BUILDINGS

Main entrance

The main entrance to the Visitor Centre has an automated door and Experience Ambassadors (our friendly staff) will greet you on arrival. The building has wide doorways; all doors have been designed to be wheelchair accessible. The building has eight floors and these are connected by lifts as well as stairs. Floor surfaces are smooth and easy to navigate.

Shops & bars

Our shop at the front of the building has been designed to be accessible with space for moving around, lowered counters and induction loops. Our two rooftop bars have lowered sections, and we provide table service where guests require assistance to carry food or beverages.

Experiences

Our visitor tours follow routes that change floor levels with lifts and platform lifts available. Some parts of the tour include visual effects with flashing lights, audio tracks, differing floor surfaces and aromas. Visitors who may find this uncomfortable are welcome to bypass this section - please inform us about this when booking the tour. The tour typically takes 90 minutes with some seated moments; portable chairs are available on request.

Event spaces

Our event spaces are on the upper floor, and include the Label Studio and Learning for Life training area. The Label Studio is an open floor plan with plenty of room for moving around, and the Learning for Life area has a lowered counter. Each has been designed with accessibility in mind and include great views.

ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES

Toilet

Each floor has an accessible toilet with grab rails, a drop‑down rail and ample transfer space. Transfer sides vary by floor, so a member of staff can direct you to left or right transfer facilities. All accessible toilets have an emergency alarm and a red alarm cord.

Changing Places Toilets

Located on the ground floor, we have a Changing Places Toilet.

Lifts

We have four main lifts (two large lifts with clear door opening widths of 130cm and car dimensions 240 x 140 x 220cm; other lifts 90cm door opening). Platform lifts are 102 x 166cm; step lifts are 109 x 145cm; up to 375kg capacity.
