The distilleries embody stories of perseverance and reinvention, discovery and courageous beginnings. And of course, dedication to artistic excellence. They also tell stories of a place, and of home – each one carrying the unique character of the individual place it was created. Together these stories and flavours intertwine and bring you on a journey you will never forget.

Inspired by the courageous beginning of both Olivier and John Walker, and evoking the innocent feeling of summer: the sunshine, a gentle breeze, fruity and delicious flavours, and vibrant and exciting experiences. For the Summer Expression, Dr. Walker leans into the rare expressions of Speyside malt for that signature orchard fruit taste.

John Walker showed true courage when his father passed away when he was just a young boy. He sold the family farm and used the proceeds to set up a grocery store in the nearby town, and this is where the true discovery of Johnnie Walker began in 1820. The business grew over the years and after initially creating consistent quality by blending flavours in tea, the Walkers were able to apply the same principles to whisky making – bringing together flavours from all four corners of Scotland to create whiskies greater than the sum of their parts.
