JOHN WALKER & SONS™ PRIVATE COLLECTION 2016 EDITION
The John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2016 Edition is the third annual, limited release and once again showcases the craftsmanship and innovation of John Walker & Sons blended Scotch Whisky.
It is another master class from our Master Blender, Jim Beveridge, who combined flavours from over a hundred casks to produce our most complex blend to date. Among the casks were rare single grain Scotch whiskies from five Johnnie Walker distilleries, four of which are now silent.
Where the John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2015 Edition was a study in ‘rare fruit’ character, the John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2016 Edition explores the delicate art of balancing aromatic honey sweetness and soft, elusive distillery notes. It has a light fruit flavour, intense yet restrained, which perfectly highlights the gentle brightness of the rare grain whiskies.
Only 8,888 decanters of the John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2014 Edition were made. Each of these beautiful dark blue glass decanters is individually numbered, with a striking design that echoes the famous Johnnie Walker slanted label.
